One of the largest law practices in the region, Walsh Day James Mihal's main office is located in Ulverstone, between the major centres of Burnie and Devonport and central to the North West Coast of Tasmania.
We have established a branch office at Junction Farm in Hadspen near Launceston. Eleanor James works for part of each week from our Junction Farm branch office and can see clients there by appointment.
We predominantly service clients across the North, North West, and West Coast of Tasmania. We appear in Courts in Burnie, Devonport, Launceston and Hobart.
Anthony Mihal travels to Hobart once a month and can arrange to meet with clients there.
We support access to justice by providing a broad range of legal services to local businesses, not for profit organisations and individuals from all walks of life.
We believe in being an active part of our community. That's why we conduct a free legal advice service for clients of the Ulverstone Community House and No. 34 Aboriginal Health Service. Our lawyers and staff volunteer in diverse organisations including Apex Australia, Lifeline and the State Emergency Service.
Our main building was one of the first passive solar commercial buildings in the Central Coast, and the native garden that insulates it is designed to provide food for native birds. We generate all of our office's energy needs with out rooftop solar system.
We support our employees by providing flexible working arrangements to enable our people to care for their families, undertake further training or volunteer their time helping the community.
